Introduction

Thanks for looking at my Guitar Tuition site . I offer professional guitar tuition in the comfort of your own home, or at my house in Bamber Bridge, if you prefer to travel (cheapest option) .

Background

I have played guitar as a hobby for over 30 years - I am self taught - I couldn't put my guitar down, once I started. I love music and being able to sing and play my favourite artist's songs. I regularly attend open-mic nights and music evenings, and have been a mobile guitar teacher for over 5 years.

 

My Approach

I tailor lessons to each individual, depending on their interests, aptitude and ability. Learning will progress at a students own pace, in small, manageable steps. You are only taught what you need / want to know, eg. You will learn a new chord in order to permit you to play a new song. Lessons will involve a combination of practical guitar playing and supporting theory. I cover songs by popular artists, but can also cater for individual tastes.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Ages

I teach ages from 6 upwards, and abilities from beginners to advanced. 

Lesson Content

During lessons you will learn to :-

  Form and derive chords.

  Strum basic rhythms.

  Play basic melodies.

  Play runs & finger-pick.

  Play scales / derive them.

  Play riffs & lead guitar breaks.

  Transpose music & other relevant theory.

  

Areas covered are :-
Preston, Blackpool, Blackburn, Bolton, Burnley, Chorley, Leyland, Wigan & surrounding Lancashire villages.

 

Prices

Tuition in your home is £20 / Hour, or if you travel to me, it's £15 / Hour. You should find that very competitive - music shops charge £12 or more for just 30 mins!
